ReplyDeleteDon't see any reason for Red Wings fans to be flustered, so far it's a home ice series. The Pens have to win in Detroit to win the series. Detroit doesn't have to win in Pittsburgh.
ReplyDeleteT, yes flustered ... the games in Pittsburgh where sloppy hockey. Like Detroit pulled into Pitts and forgot how to play the game!! Okay, I can understand the reasons behind holding back and letting them win at least one game so the series comes back to home ice ... but the hockey was sloppy. Very unlike Detroit (who is by far the better team - sorry Phil I know you like Pengs, but it's true) and usually plays a much better game. Add the bad refereeing of games 3 and 4 ... and yes ... flustered!!
ReplyDeleteGame 5 looks much more like the Wings. Pro hockey at it's finest. They're playing position, playing a clean game and letting Pengs make all the errors resulting in Pengs penalties.
Okay now I'm even more frustrated...darn peguins were too fast for me!

ReplyDeleteAnd after the way Game 7 went ... I'm gonna be smacking a lot of penguins around today. Frustrated isn't the word!! Talk about sloppy hockey ... lack of offensive plays (Wings) ... wasn't a Wing in sight in front of the net (can't score if there's no one there to smack it in!) ... and on and on and on ... I hate to say it ... The Penguins outplayed us this year. Shouldn't have happened, but it did.
