Just a quickie ...

All's well in the land of Squirrels. Lots and lots of homework. Barely time for anything else these days. Which is probably a good thing, no time for the Gremlin to bother me (or is it I just don't notice with my head buried in some book or the other).

I have been keeping up with everyone's blog entries through email. Rarely respond, though. Forgive me??

I guess the kids are okay. I rarely see them anymore, LOL.

Alien absolutely loves her new school and the OTC (technical school) she's also going to. She actually can't wait for the weekend to end so she can be there. Ummmm ... "Who are you and what did you do with my Alien?" She's also been fighting with her soon to be ex boyfriend. When that happens she gets so mad she power cleans the house. I'm loving it. Now for her to just tell this creep once and for all that it's over!!

The cats are sick. Nothing major, some head cold type thing. Funny to hear the three of them sneezing. Yes, three. Ringo and Shiloh, of course, and we decided to keep one of the kittens. Alien named her Natasha.

Well, guess it's back to the homework. This stuff just isn't getting done by itself.

Oh, and Pengy, thanks. That damned song is STILL stuck in my head. Nothing like waking up in the morning with "yodel lay dee, yodel hay hee, yodel lay he who" still stuck on the brain. I so owe you one!

Blogging Break, Part Two

Just a quickie. I'm online doing some research for a few projects but just wanted to stop and check in. Let ya'll know I'm alive and well.

Studies are going awesome. I've got a butt load of projects going on, two or three different projects in each class. Nice thing about taking all business classes this term we study a lot of different aspects of business, LOL. Since the instructors allow us to pick who we're going to do our reports on, I've picked McDonald's for projects due in three different classes. This way I can do all my research at once and present it in three different ways.

And they all think it's funny that a gal with the last name of McDonald would pick McDonald's to report on.

Hope ya'll are well. Special thoughts go out to all of my Texas friends. I hope everyone is okay after Hurricane Ike. My thoughts and prayers are with ya'll.

Blogging Break ...

After much thought I've decided to take a much needed blogging break. I'll continue to do the Gross Grub recipes, but after that I won't be blogging much, if at all, for a while.

Homework is swamping me. Alien is putting me through a lot of stress right now. The housework is falling behind. I've got a lot of things to work on, a lot of things to figure out ...

I'll sneak a peak in here and there as I can.

Until then, ya'll get to look at my butt while I hide out. Shhhhhhhh, don't tell anyone where I'm hiding!!
