New Years Q & A. Snagged from my friend Annie

1. Will you be looking for a new job? Yuppers, I sure will. It's a full time job looking for work here in Michigan with it's depressed economy.

2. Will you be looking for a new relationship? Oh heck no. I'm very happy being single.

3. New house? Preferably in an economically stable area (if such a thing exists these days)

4. What will you do different in 2008? Many, many things.

5. New Years resolution? I quit doing resolutions years ago, you set yourself up for failure by trying to change everything at once. Why not change what needs to be changed throughout the year, as they need to be changed?

7. Any trips planned? Some small day trips with my daughter. Not sure where.

8. Wedding plans? Nope ...

9. What's on your calendar? Many things.

10. What can't you wait for? A job, I miss the income!!

11. What would you like to see happen different? I'd love to see Michigan heal from what ails it.

12. What about yourself will you be changing? My outlook on my health, and getting healthy once again.

13. What happened in '07 that you didn't think would ever happen? Not a thing, LOL.

14. Will you be nicer to the people you care about? I'm already nice to them, don't think I could be nicer, lol.

15. Will you dress differently this year than you did in 2007? Definitely. I've lost about 60 pounds since getting sick. Nothing I used to wear fits me anymore. In replacing my wardrobe I'm updating it, too.

16. Will you start or quit drinking? I was just recently diagnosed as being a diabetic, so I'll cut my social drinking down even further (if that's possible, lol).

17. Will you better your relationship with your family? I'm very close to my kids now. But I doubt that the relationship I have with most of my family can be salvaged. We just can't see eye to eye on anything of importance, not that we haven't tried.

18. Will you do charity work? Once I'm financially able to do so, yes. I'd love to adopt a family for the holidays. Provide them with gifts and food for Christmas that they otherwise wouldn't be able to afford.

19. Do you expect 2008 to be a good year for you? Oh yes! I've busted my butt lately to improve my life. And it's looking up!!

20. How much did you change from this time last year til now? I'm a totally different person. Even though the changes I've made really started in 2006, I entered 2007 feeling depressed and overwhelmed. Sure, I've had major health issues lately, but compared to the depression and all, I'm a much happier, more determined person.

21. Will you still be friends with the same people you are friends with now? Definitely. 2007 was my year to eliminate the false friends and poisonous relationships from my life. I'm entering 2008 with dear friends, friends I pray are in my life forever!!

22. Major lifestyle changes? Again, just having recently been diagnosed as a diabetic my goal for 2008 is to get it under control and live a healthier lifestyle. I plan in being around to watch my grandchildren have children!!

23. What will you make sure doesn't happen in 2008 that happened in 07? Depression, feelings of helplessness, feeling overwhelmed. I've come a long way in twelve short months. I've learned to concentrate on the present and on my future, not dwell in a painful past.

24. What are your New Years Eve plans? I haven't any plans this year. It'll be a night to reflect on where I was and where I'm headed.

25. Will you have someone to kiss at midnight? Sadly no.

26. Wish for 2008? I wish for better health and continuing happiness.

  1. Ok, if I remember correctly, you posted a pic of yourself on 360 once and you said you carried the weight well, but I have to ask.....if you lost 60 pds is there anything left? You definitly did not look that heavy. Good luck on the job hunt.

  2. Donna, gee thanks!! I did carry the weight rather well, but was still extremely heavy. I'd still like to lose about forty more pounds ... and there's a few "before" pics of me over in my photo albums. I'll have to see if I can dig up some more photos of the old fat me. Hehehehehehe ... HUGS!!

  3. Maybe I'll be back to snag this and post on mine. But I've been sitting in the folding chair at the computer for awhile and I need to go sit on something more comfy and take a break. Happy New Year to you!
