1) I have ten thoughts today - probably more than ten, LOL. But sadly most of them are school related. More specifically to do with business and entrepreneurship. Pretty boring stuff if you haven't been bitten by the entrepreneurial bug. I'll spare ya'll the details ... but it's mostly what's been on my mind lately.
2) Had to laugh on Sunday when Alien came home from Bubba's house. She was in the bathroom getting ready for bed. All of a sudden I hear a loud gasp and then hysterical laughter. She comes into my bedroom hunched over with Ringo on her back. He must have really missed her over the weekend - she was standing in front of the sink, he was on the near-by laundry hamper and jumped up to her shoulders. Not a typical Ringo move, that's for sure. But left us laughing the rest of the night.
3) Married Son has once again delayed the start of the piloting company. I can't say as I blame him with the current economic conditions. He'll be starting a dedicated run with a local trucking company for now. Dedicated just means that his route and schedule won't vary. He'll be running from the Metro Detroit area to Missouri three times a week.
4) Alright, so I do believe I have another weirdo in my life this semester. She's definitely showing potential. She's narcissism at it's finest. She's shallow as hell. Oy!! Just what I need.
5) And one of the biggest pet peeves about my *new friend* is that she keeps suggesting we get together after class, hit the bar so she can introduce me to a few of her male friends she thinks would like me. Hello??? I'm single for a reason!! I can and do meet men on my own, I just don't have any desire for a commitment of any sorts at this point in my life. Why can't people understand that I LIKE being single?? I don't want the complications of a relationship. She has already gone so far as to say I need a sugar daddy. Screw that!! I'm not going to belittle myself by dating some guy only for the purpose of his freaking wallet. Geesh.
6) I'm feeling much better after my fall last Saturday in front of the above mentioned *friend*. Just a dull ache to remind me that I'm not as young as I used to be and don't bounce well at all anymore.
7) Well, damn. I'm running out of ideas already. Looks like I'll end this here instead of straining the brain to come up with more thoughts.
Let the journey from clean and organized to chaos and confusion begin!

Saturday Six ... A Day Late ...
Saturday Six ...
1) Confession Time ... I am a klutz. Always have been, always will be. And the last two days have been pretty klutzy, even for me. Friday night getting ready for bed I cut a corner too short and kneed my blanket chest with my left knee. It left a long scrape and a bruise the size of an old Eisenhower silver dollar on my knee cap. Then yesterday leaving class, while talking to a classmate I managed to fall off the sidewalk. Yes, fall off the sidewalk! Only a true klutz can pull that one off. Poor girl I was talking with! She freaked out! Here my big butt falls and her tiny arse thinks she's gonna help me up? Girl isn't much bigger than a minute and she'd gonna help *me* up? Gotta give her credit for that *I can do it* attitude. And all I was worried about was if my new cell phone was okay as my stuff went flying. My friend laughed because I managed to not break the smoke I had just lit, LOL. I twisted my left ankle and pulled or bruised the muscles in the arch and top of my foot, I can barely walk today. Good job. NOT!
2) Single Son saw me limping shortly after I got home from school yesterday. "Mom, what'd you do?" "I fell at school" "Don't be doing that. You're too old, you could break a hip or something".
3) I'm debating if this new friendship is worth me coming up with a nickname for her. She seems okay, but the jury is still out on that one, LOL. Those of you who knew me in my 360 days will remember that I seem to attract one weirdo a semester. She's looking to be a good candidate as my newest weirdo. I'm not really sure why I say this, just a gut instinct, that's all.
4) I'm not sure how that Intro to Business test went the other day. The way some of her questions were worded made more than one answer possible. More than a few students complained about that. So we'll see if she adjusts for multiple possibilities.
5) LOL! I just realized that today is Sunday, not Saturday. Geesh ... this having a Saturday class really throws me off obviously.
6) Guess I hobble off to the store. I'm craving salty snacks something fierce today. For some reason Dill Pickle flavored potato chips sound real good ...

Just some stuff ...
Wow, I'm caught up with homework for the week, minus some further studying I want to do for a test tomorrow morning. I've even managed to keep up with ya'll through email updates. Am I good or what?
I came down with a nasty head and chest cold yesterday. It's going around the house, we've all got it - including the cats! Never know if I'm saying 'god bless you' to a human or one of the furbabies. It's one of those barking type sneeze cough thingies. Weird to hear the cats barking. Then again, weird to hear the humans barking, too.
Luckily there's no class tonight. The instructor has some place he needed to be so we're doing an "offsite" class meeting tonight. Only, my group didn't want to meet offsite so we're doing our project entirely through email. Yay!! Definitely a good day for me to stay home and not spread my cooties around!
Amy, thanks for the Star Trek humor ... I keep a myspace page just for my Trek addiction. I figure it's easier this way to spare my non-Trek friends from my Trekiness. So everything Star Trek that you send me gets posted over there. Thanks again!
Here comes the shameless plug ... if anyone with a myspace OR Star Trek addiction wants to add me to their friends list my URL is myspace.com/trekncc74209. It's private, so you won't be able to see much without my adding you. Warning: I'm also addicted to the SuperPoke Pets thingie. I might just bug you to play with my pet dragon, "Fluffy".
Not a whole lot else going on around here besides studying and sneezing. I wanted dull and boring for how long? Now I've got it. I'm loving it, but it doesn't make for a lot of bloggable materials anymore. Guess I head back to lurking for now ...

Not quite ten thoughts Tuesday
This is another of those I don't know if I have ten thoughts this week entries, but I'll give it my best. And no, I'm *not* going to cheat by counting this one as a thought. Maybe I should? LOL
1) Beware if you live in the Suburban Detroit area. There's a scam going around ... caller poses as a DTE employee (the local electric company) and wants to verify your name and billing address. They then run a pre-recorded shut off message - stating that if you don't pay some unrealistically high past due bill your power will be shut off the next day. THIS IS A SCAM!! They tried to hit me with it today. I didn't give them any information - telling them "look you called me. You know my information, it's on the computer monitor in front of you" ... I hung up and immediately called DTE at the number they have on their monthly bills because I KNOW my bill is current and wanted to see if they knew about this newest scam. The *real* DTE operator told me that DTE will never call to verify your personal information (it's up to you to update your information) - nor will they combine calls with a human asking for verification (which they don't do anyway) AND a shut off recording. So, beware if you live in the DTE service area!!
2) Toilet paper. Who uses the last of the toilet paper and notifies NO ONE that we're out? Luckily I keep a stash of 1/4 rolls hidden in a drawer in the bathroom cabinet for just such emergencies. Damn Gremlin!!
3) For the last few days I've been hearing a weird sound coming from my car from time to time. Had Married Son come out and look at it. His diagnosis isn't good. Seems the car is in the early throes of it's death dance. I'm no mechanic and really can't convey what it is that's wrong with the car (even though Son told me, I don't recall mechanical stuff very well). He said there's a 50/50 chance that when this part goes bad (air conditioner clutch) that the car will either survive or not depending on if the a/c valve (I think he called it) is either opened or closed at the time. Great ... I just love those gambles. NOT. See, I told you I can't convey mechanical stuff for beans.
4) School is going well. I think I'm finally caught up with my homework for the week. Just in time, too. Wednesday starts my school week. A viscous cycle it is ... get caught up - get slammed, caught up, slammed (sort of like the laundry, eh? LOL).
5) Got my new cell phone yesterday. I'm lovin' it. Now to figure out all of the new buzzers and bells this thing has on it. It's a Samsung r450. Nice phone. QWERTY keyboard. Internet access. Bunches of things I have to figure out, when I have time!!
6) Yeah, fall is finally here!! The temps at night are perfect. Now to lose that heat during the day. They're predicting 80 degrees tomorrow. I'm soooo ready for cooler temps!!
7) Been keeping up with ya'll in email updates. Still not leaving many comments, but know I'm keeping up when I can.
8) Ummmmmm ... stumbling for thoughts already. This isn't good ... nope ... nothing ... so here I end this with something I snagged from Terry's blog.

Custody Hearing
In Detroit, MI yesterday a courtroom drama occurred when a young boy challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him. The boy had a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge originally awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody laws and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the utmost degree possible.
The boy surprised the court by proclaiming that his aunt beat him more than his parents did and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge suggested that he live with the grandparents, the boy stated that they had beaten him on several occasions also.
After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic abuse was a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him.
After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Detroit Lions, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.
