Feeling like crap for the last week. Not sure what's going on. Pain in my stomach, on and off for the last year. This week has been absolutely miserable for me. Other than the constant pain I feel great. I've noticed any type of eating - from light snack to full meal - only makes the pain worse. I should probably say here I have a hernia just below my belly button. I'm wondering if it's not related. Soonest I can get into my new doctor is next Thursday. Yippee, a new doc. No more quack!! I'm confident this one will finally do something besides say "yup, it's a hernia". Damn quack ex-doc of mine.
Ya'll know I'm a Trekkie. Yup, a card carrying Trekkie, no less. We had a meeting Thursday night. Chinese Food. Yummy!! Had to leave the meeting early because of the stinking pain. Crap. I'm one of the "officers" in the club - the "Communications Chief". I write the newsletters and help organize club functions. I shouldn't be leaving early. I've also been thinking about volunteering for the position of Regional Historian. Basically it's the photographer for all of the area chapters. I'd go and take all of their photos for the StarFleet publication. The only thing stopping me is that Canada is in our region and I can't afford to get a passport. I'm still fuzzy on the new passport laws, but at this point I'd rather play it safe and have mine. My luck the way it is, you know? LOL.
Not much else going on. Just taking it easy. Don't wanna overdo anything, not with this pain. So ... it's homework, studying for finals next week, working on my final art project (a self portrait), and watching a lot of tv. Fun. Fun. Fun.
Not spending a lot of time right now on the computer, other than using the online study guide for my computer class. On top of everything else my mouse decided to die. Well, not die entirely, but he sure is limping around. Makes navigating damn near impossible!! Sort of reminds me of my early computer days, before computer mice. Back when we navigated using the tab key ... back before the internet. OMG!! Now I feel O-L-D!!
Hoping ya'll are having a great weekend!! I'm hoping to visit your pages today!!

I"m glad to read you have a dr's appointment coming up because it's not right for you to be having chronic pain like that. Also good to hear that Harley is looking after you properly. Maybe your trekkie club would pay for your passport since you'd need it for volunteering.
ReplyDeleteAnd as for the storm - just make sure you keep the bad weather there please...
what em said!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're being looked after, take care and hope you soon get the pain sorted out. We haven't got snow but it's very wet and windy. Hope your rock gives you hours of pleasure LOL
ReplyDeleteAwwww...hun...I'm so sorry to hear about the pain...I know that kind of constant pain can really make you feel very drained - in every way! It is good that Harley is taking care of you though and I hope that the doc can figure something out. I kinda wish it would snow here...not a BIG snow...but, enough to play in...the girls and I love to play in the snow...it's just dreary and cloudy here...very depressing actually. Our weatherman said that it's going to be raining all day and night...not a single drop has fallen tho...lol! I'm a trekkie of sorts...I used to collect the character cards and such but I haven't gotten to see a good Star Trek episode in years (we don't have cable...otherwise...I'd be watching the show constantly). You stay safe on the roads if it does storm bad...and take good care of yourself love...MWAH!
ReplyDeleteOh honey, I'm sorry to hear you're in pain, I hope your new doc sorts it all out for you, and I'm glad to hear Harvey is being a fusspot ... good for him!! (((hugsss))) Good luck for your finals next week, and don't worry, I remember a time before mouses/mice too, in fact my brother's computer at his house is still mouse-less!! Look after yourself sweetheart, and have a lovely weekend, love, hugs & lollipops, Lxx
ReplyDeleteGeez seems like everyone is got some sort of pain going on. I just came from my doc. Hope you feel better and you appt day gets here asap. Sometimes you can fix your mouse if you remove the bottom cover and clean the ball contacts, they usually just get dirty. HUGS!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you find answers and feel better, pain and studying bummer. Glad you got Harley
