I forgot to add the pics of the dinette area, there is no formal dining room in this house. It's been such a catch-all for years that there hasn't been a sit-down meal here in a long time. Just another surface that was a catch-all. What is it with every flat surface being converted to another collection of crap that should have a home elsewhere? What you don't see is the stack of boxes for the trash ... how hard would it have been to open the doorwall and put it in the cans just feet away? You also don't see the shopping bags worth of crap hidden behind the table. I love that kitchen table, Brother Deere and Alien made it!!
This pic was taken the day they moved out. It's looking better, but the after shots wait until it's the way I really want it.
Next up we have The Wrecking Crew's bedroom. These pictures are NOT for the weak of heart!! BossMan wanted me to snap photos the day DIL moved out. Not sure why, but here they are ...
Granted, some of it is just mess from DIL packing and moving out, but just get a look at those walls!! Carpet is ruined, too ...
Thankfully this is the worst room ... the others just really need a good sort and toss, detailed cleaning and reorganization.

Ok - now that room is bad........and moving out is no excuse - I've moved myself and helped others move a few times and even in the midst of the chaos I've never seen anything quite so trashy as that.
ReplyDeleteEm, whats really sad about that ... it pretty much looked that way the entire time they lived here!! At least the holes in the wall ... DIL did sort of keep her stuff better organized than this. Not much ... but those walls!! OY!
ReplyDeleteYeah.....there are few things worse than when neat and sloppy worlds collide (and I'm being polite here - that's beyond sloppy). Fortunately you don't have to deal with it anymore. But that reminds me - is Bossman leaving as well - I didn't see you listing a room for him in your new empty nest?
ReplyDeleteHe's still here, well, he uses this address on his driver's license anyway. He's away six weeks at a time on the road, so ... it's senseless for him to rent a place at this point. He will take over Gizmo's share of the bills and save for a down payment on a place this fall. At least that's what we'd talked about for now ... until then I won't have my craft room. That's got to be gutted anyway, but by fall I should have it for my craft things.
ReplyDeleteYeah that room sucks big time!! But its fixable. Even getting rid of the crap that's been left behind and washing everything down will help it look better. Maybe rusty might get bored another day and clean it for you haha
