1) Where I wish I were right now ... in Port Huron, MI at my favorite park. Across the water is Canada.
2) Some *boys* never grow up!! My son, the cop ... oy vey!
3) "This is about as close as I'm going to get to the Cop Car!!" My grandson looking at his uncle's squad car recently.
4) The Police Chief's dog standing watch over the cooler at the Chief's 4th of July picnic.
5) Chief's wife had some beautiful gardens. This is a close up of one of her flowers.

Explanations to my photos ... LOL ...
ReplyDelete1) Pine Grove Park in Port Huron Michigan. Just across the water is Canada. My favorite way to spend a humid Michigan day!
2) This is the bottom half of a burn pit. The legs for it had been run over by my other son. We had a bag of very dry leaves that they thought would be fun to burn. This is what an evening of barbecuing and beers will do to two bored adult *children*. When my children say "hey watch this" be afraid, be very afraid (and grab the video camera)!
3) My grandson watches too many episodes of COPS. He knows people in the back seat of a cop car go to jail. He would only get close to the front seat - and only when he saw the computer in the front!! When the back door was opened he headed for the hills screaming "Don't take me to jail. Don't take me to jail"
4) The dog isn't actually guarding the cooler! He's waiting for someone off camera to throw an empty water bottle to him. Chief is trying to train him to fetch beers out of the fridge. The dog goes for any beverage container, LOL!
5) Not much to say about this one. I love to take close ups of flowers.
Please give that sweet child a hug and put his mind at ease. :=)
ReplyDeleteljbdavi, we did explain to him that he wouldn't go to jail ... that only really bad people go to jail. Funny thing is if you ask him, he says he's going to be a cop when he grows up! LOL. It's just that right now he associates the back of a squad car to jail thanks to watching the show COPS.

ReplyDeleteI figured you had assured him of that. It was just interesting that a 3 year old would have that idea in his head. He'll probably be a good cop if that's what he does as his profession. He'll put that "fear" in those bad guys!!

ljbdavi, LOL! He'll put the fear in 'em all right. He already thinks he's a bad-a**! LOL! I wouldn't doubt if he ends up being a cop (or a motorcycle mechanic - he loves motorcycles! Or a motorcycle cop even) ... both of my sons ended up doing exactly what they wanted to be when they were little.

ReplyDeleteMy husband was a trucker, my stepson used to sit in the cab with him and after 15 years doing other jobs is now a trucker and my step-grandson just loves to be in a truck, digger, speedboat - anything!
Once my daughter is qualified as a teacher she'd love to get her licence to drive a truck LOL
