2) The good news is there's been no shots fired since the last time I blogged about it. Then again, all the barky dogs are being brought in at night, too. Maybe there really is a correlation between the two!!
3) So it's official, lol. Single Son *is* moving out early this summer. He's ready to fly the coop, LOL. Actually, he's been ready, just hung around this long to help me out. He's wanting his privacy, his own place across town. Can't say as I blame him. Married Son, DIL and Grandson will be moving back in with me!! I'm geeked. I miss my grandson. Even miss Married Son and DIL, too! LOL! Sure they only live a mile away right now, but I miss the little booger!
4) For someone who said she couldn't wait for an empty nest, why am I so geeked about having them move back in? Yeah, only a small part of it's because I can't quite afford to live alone, at least not yet. I just don't think I'm honestly ready for the empty nest yet. I never thought I'd admit that!! I'm just not ready for an empty nest right now. Wonder if I'll ever be?
5) Alien's geeked. She loves having Grandson around. I wonder how long that'll last?? When they moved out the first time Grandson wasn't walking yet. Now he'll be in her stuff only all the time!! He sure loves his Aunt Cocoa (as he calls her). I wonder if Alien's just more geeked about finally getting the "basement" bedroom (fourth bedroom) since we need to keep Grandson and his parents on the same floor. I don't want the basement bedroom. She'll have more privacy being downstairs where there's no other bedrooms. And this'll be the first time she'll have a major say in how the room is decorated. Could be interesting.
6) There's so much to do to child proof the house once again. First thing is getting rid of things we no longer use or need. Gotta make room for not only three more bodies, but a buttload of toys that one toddler brings with him!!
7) Oh yeah. My business class final went good. Doubt I got a perfect grade, more like a B on it. We have to report to class next week to get our final grades. After that, we're done with the class - a few weeks early.
8) Database class is going pretty good. The group has finally come to agreements on how our "business" should be run. It's made creating our databases so much easier when we finally all agree what we're doing. Teacher looked over our work and said it's the most complicated project in the class. I guess this is a good thing, too many of the other groups are really *not* doing the full amount of work. He actually doesn't care if the program works or not (the pros spend *months* on these types of programs), he just wants to check that we understand the principles behind it. What's funny is, we did a test run of our database program today and it actually works!! Hooray for us!! We meet on Friday to fine tweak it further. Girls rule!! What can I say? LOL
Number Nine and I'm struggling for thoughts again.
9) I really need to sit down and write an ad for Freecycle about "Cat free to good home". Especially with Grandson moving back in soon, she's just not a kid-friendly kitty. I can't take the risk of her scratching or biting him. She's much better off as an only pet in a child-free home.
10) Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, there is nothing good on tv tonight!! So much for just chilling in front of the tube tonight. I know ... maybe I'll break out the DVDs and watch a few episodes of Keeping Up Appearances??

It took me an hour but I finally found a theme I like. Funny I thought using a made theme was easier.
ReplyDeleteIt is funny how we want things so bad then when we get them it isn't as much fun as we thought. I think children bring joy and excitment to the house. They bring other things to, but somehow we only remember the good stuff. I'm glad your getting your grand child back. You can put up with the your child LOL
1. I'm barely doing ANY blogging right now? How did you get all of MY TIME???
ReplyDelete*giggle*
2. Keep those blinds closed and the windows LOCKED!
3. You even miss DIL??? Wow! It will be fun to have your grandson back and I'm really happy for you!
4. My kids are so noisy and messy....but my mom ALWAYS gets a little sad when they leave her house. Makes sense, I guess! They are so full of life and promise...and my dad just sits in the garage and sucks down beer. I guess the kids WOULD be better than that!
5. She'll learn really quickly how hard it can be to live with toddlers. And I can't wait to hear ALL ABOUT IT!
6. The toys will TAKE OVER. Good like with that...is it time to FLY again?
7. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for ya!
8. YUP! GIRLS RULE!!!
9. Then again, cats have a way of avoiding little ones and I like it when my kids meet a cat that doesn't take any crap....it teaches them BOUNDARIES!
10. I hope you had a good night, whatever you did!
Cassie, LOL!!! I spend weeks looking for themes I like! I finally got smart, bookmarked a few. Maybe it'll make it easier for the next theme change! LOL!
ReplyDeleteLeann, oops ...1) I wasn't gonna fess up that it was YOUR time I stole! LOL!
ReplyDelete2) Blinds closed and windows locked works for burglars, however ... stray bullets it doesn't do diddly for. The good news seems to be that we haven't heard shots in about a week now.
3) Yeah, I actually *miss* DIL. Scary eh??
4) This kid has a ton of toys. It seriously looks like he car-jacked a Toys R Us truck! Most will have to go in his room, the family room doesn't have room for them all!
5) She loved living with him when he was a baby!! Oh is she in for a rude awakening!! Best birth control in the world, though, if you ask me! See what happens if she were to decide to have *sex*. Hehehehe!!
6) Fly?? OMG, I really need to get FlyLady back in my life!! And quick!
7) Thanks!!
8) But we knew that all along, didn't we?
9) There's still three cats here that will teach him boundaries. The fourth one, Roz, is just plain ol' mean around children.
10) Watched about half a dozen episodes of Keeping Up Appearances! I *love* that show! LOL!
Re #3 - Everyone is a bit older and wiser now, so hopefully it will work out much better than the last time. Actually, come to think of it - you deleted those old blogposts because you are a different person now - so the living together dynamics will be different as well.
ReplyDeleteIt is tough to let kids go - no matter what the age , I know.
Congrats on your final - nice to be finished early so you can concentrate on the Database work.
Em, that's what I'm hoping, that things go much better this time around, lol. There's been a lot of *growth*. We've also grown closer in the year or so they've been gone. I'm feeling good about this ...
ReplyDeleteDatabase and photoshop - I have an animation project due in two weeks and having problems animating the blasted thing. Guess next week I spend most of my time at school using their computers. I'm just grateful that database is going as well as it is, LOL!!
HUGS!
