1) Well, it finally happened. I suspected it might, hoped it would ... I'm one of those people that grows to hate something before I make changes. Whether it be either of my marriages, Michigan in it's current situation, or a host of just about anything else. With the marriages my course of action was divorce. With Michigan I've finally come to realise I want to stay and fight it out. I mean, hell, it's been MY home all of my life. Here comes some idiot from Canada to be our governor and well, we know the rest of that story. I'm finally fed up enough to want to fight it out.
2) I don't know why I'm like this. Been this way all my life. I blame part of it on my being so darned easy going. I'd rather be walked all over than have a confrontation or decide to fix the situation once and for all. Takes a lot to get me fed up enough to actually want to do something about it! I knew for six years that I needed to divorce Exie Poo (first ex) before I actually filed, two years before I filed for divorce from Bubba. Two years of that whole "Bucky" situation (remember that? LOL). Three years to decide to stay and do what I can to improve things here in Michigan.
3) I think that's why I haven't moved yet. My heart wasn't really in it. I just didn't know it! I made a bunch of excuses - had to fix my health before I left, had to finish this semester, my folks health issues and a bunch of other excuses I had.
Okay, now I realize these first three thought could have been lumped together, as they are related. But with my history of brain farting around thought number 7 or 8 I'm doing it this way. Yeah, I'm cheating. Hmmmm, what else is on my mind today??
Ahhhh, I know ...
4) It's weird to drive my car with a new windshield. I had the crack in it since I took over that car last summer. It was Married Son's car before that. I was just the lucky one that got to watch it grow over the winter. The windshield is too clean for me now! It's hard for me to actually see out of it because it's soooooo clean. Yeah, I'm strange! No windex streaks, no smokey build-up, no coating of road dust ...
5) I guess that number 4 is a family trait. My grandfather was a truck driver locally back in the 1920s until his death in the mid-50s. One day when my mother was a young child they decided to surprise Grandpa and clean the dirty truck windshield. He about had a hissy fit!! He wasn't able to see through a clean windshield, it distorted his vision!
6) This is the *only* trait I've inherited from that side of the family. The remainder of my screwed up genes come from Dad's side. LOL.
Okay, so I'm not lumping related thoughts together again. I'm at #7 and already starting to brain fart. But didn't I already say that I have a history of brain farting around number 7 or 8? Let's see ... hmmmmm ... I wonder how random I can get on these last thoughts?
7) I really need to call the lawn man. My yard is in dire need of attention. This guy is great, last year he did my lawn for only the cost of the gas he used. The deal was that this year he'll charge me more. Still, I can't complain ... $25 is a hell of a good deal for a man that takes great pride in the work he does. Sorry ladies, he's a friend of the family and only cuts this deal for immediate friends.
8) I colored my hair last night. Auburn again. Came out really red this time. I love it, too ... a nice change for me.
9) I finally got to the grade portion of the college's website. Well crap, they don't post grades until May 1st!!! I did see my course grades, but those weren't the "official" grades - just the grades from the teachers grade books. Anyway, I won't have my official grades for a few more days. The wait is killing me. Think I said grades enough?? LOL!
10) Got a letter in the mail yesterday that about freaked me out. It was from my insurance company. It's an information packet called "Benefits for Heart Disease Members". Hello? Wait a freaking minute here!! Heart Disease?? This is news to me! I put a call through to my doctor, but am still waiting on his return call. I'm really really really hoping it was just an oversite on the insurance company's part. I know I'm on some pretty strong blood pressure medications - one of them IS typically prescribed to heart patients. Maybe that's what generated the mail? The fact my Dad is a stroke patient and had quad bypass surgery (history of heart disease) isn't helping me here at all.
Guess that's it for my ten thoughts today. Those last four were pretty much all over the board, LOL. At least these ten thoughts were in one posting, unlike yesterday where I posted ten different things, LOL. And yes, Helen, I was really really bored yesterday.
Figuring out what you WANT is sometimes the hardest thing.
ReplyDeleteHUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS =)
LOL, ain't that the truth Cass! It's not so much as what I want ... it's figuring out what I don't want!! If that makes sense. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOMG You wroted a book it wasn't just boredom lmao. I'ma gonna make tea and come back although you wont know that but I am lolololol.
ReplyDeleteI read #1 and 2 before I made tea and had a great comment and now its gone *sigh*
#4 we took the tinting off the windows cause it was old n bubbly and I really had a time seeing clearly and now its just so clear its kinda actually what you said weird looking out through clean glass.
I colored my hair today and chopped bits off I dont know what color it was (so sad I forget again lol) but its a red anyways looks really dark but I like mine too!!
#9 patience patience (help any?)
#10 thats freaky, hope its just because of the meds and not something your doc hasnt told you!! Hugs !!!
Helen, yup, I wroted a book. Ask Penguin about my ability to write loooooong emails! She's pretty much broke me of it, but from time to time I falter, like I have lately. LMAO!
ReplyDeleteStill no call back from my doctor, but Wednesday is his "surgery day" so I don't expect him in the office today even. But knowing this doc, had there been problems he'd have had his nurse or assistant call me back the day problems were discovered. I'm pretty much figuring at this point that the insurance company screwed up and sent me the wrong "disease" packet. I should have received a diabetes packet (which I haven't got yet). At least that's what I'm telling myself ...
I used to be like that these days by the time I sit down I have forgotten everything lol.
ReplyDeleteThe mix up makes sense if you havent rec'd the diabetes kit yet, umm you were diagnosed a while back now you should have it surely ..
Helen, ya, you'd think I'd have had the diabetes information packet by now. However, as much as I really like my insurance company they don't always do things in a timely manner. LOL! I'm still waiting for the okay to go to the diabetes counselor, some six months later!
ReplyDeleteI often start my ten thoughts days before Tuesday is actually here!! It's the only way I can get ten thoughts most weeks. LOL!
HUGS!
